WaTech was founded in 1996 as a Michigan corporation to provide high-level network infrastructure consulting to local hospital systems. From 1997 to 2002, we delivered enterprise-grade consulting for some of the largest health systems in the Detroit area — including Ascension Health, the largest Catholic health system in the country at the time.

Key accomplishments during those early years included:

• Designing a Nationwide Wide Area Network architecture for over 185 hospitals
• Leading multiple national datacenter migrations and consolidations
• Serving as senior lead for a national IT Security team

Over the decades we’ve intentionally stayed lean and highly selective — turning down more referrals than we accept. This isn’t because we don’t want to grow — it’s because we refuse to compromise on quality or partnership. We only work with clients who share our values and commitment to doing things the right way.

Today, WaTech continues to deliver proactive, in-house style support with a team of employees who are not only technically excellent but also professional communicators. When projects require it, we scale with trusted crews while maintaining our high standards. Our customer loyalty speaks for itself: in the past decade we’ve only lost two clients — one to a merger and one to a business closure.
